What’s being built in Abu Dhabi?

• Saadiyat Island, a $27bn development of a new cultural district which will include a campus for New York University, new Guggenheim and Louvre Museums, and a Performing Arts Centre.
• Al Raha, comprising two parallel residential and commercial property developments, between Abu Dhabi city and the international airport.
• Yas Island, a $40bn commercial and residential development with extensive sports facilities, and host to the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 GP from 2009.
• Masdar City, a $22bn development of what is destined to be the world’s first all-new, zero-carbon city, powered entirely by solar energy and including a new university as well as scientific research institutes.
